Hello,
we are using Audacity to record other customers that we are calling. When listening to the recorded sound, our consultant's voice is heard normally, while the incomming voice (customer on the other side) is very quiet, almost impossible to hear. All sound settings are set max, we also downloaded the newest IDT High Definition Audio CODEC from HP site, operating system is windows 7. I have no idea what is the problem, I have been trying to change all settings, nothing worked.., it is always the same. If anyone had similar problems and somehow fixed it, please tell me, I will be very grateful because it is very important for us.
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: Problems hearing incomming voice
We are using Olympus TP-7 Telephone Recording Device.
Re: Problems hearing incomming voice
Are you sure that you are really recording from the TP-7 and not from the laptop microphone?
According to this page http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/2587_ ... ick-up.htm it looks like the TP-7 should send a mix of both voices to the computer.

Just plug it into the "MIC" jack of your recorder, and put the earphone side into your ear. When speaking on the telephone, the TP-7 will capture both sides of the conversation for recording on your voice recorder.
Yes, pretty sure. Both voices are heard like I said, just that incoming voice on the other side is very quiet, almost too quiet to understand anything.
