Hi everybody,
You know the deal, its 2 in the morning and im about to lose hope...
I bought a behringer usb mixer x1222 yesterday and i cannot get it to record sound. My setup consists of a bass guitar, into the mixer, and mixer into my pc, using earphones plugged into the laptop as a monitor.
It is not registering any signal despite the fact that the mixer is working, the 2-tr is unchecked, the volume is up etc.. I also have the relevant drivers from the website and the recording device set to the mixer..
Im using windows 7 and i have the default devices set to the mixer..
Can anyone offer any advice? It would be greatly appreciated as this is beginning to look like an unwise purchase..
Thanks so much,
Twix

Re: No signal from USB Mixer..
It's not a dreadful mixer and according to my communications with Behringer, I believe this is one of the mixers you can use for Hardware Overdubbing and Multi-Track. It's seriously hot stuff.behringer usb mixer x1222
If we can get it to work.
I'm not a Windows elf, but there are certain things we can do. Plug the headphones into the mixer. Forget the computer for a minute. Unplug the USB and restart the computer.
Can you hear the mixer "show" if you listen at the mixer? PHONS/CTRL. Do you get the bouncing lights on the sound meter? You may need a 1/4" stereo to 1/8" stereo adapter if you have earbuds or a smaller headphone connector.
I know you probably did this already. Baby steps.
Let us know.

Re: No signal from USB Mixer..
The mixer should be connected to the computer and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.
Then open Audacity and look in "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices" and set the Recording device to the USB option (the mixer).
