Overlapping tracks
Hi - I'm trying to overlap the end of one track with the beginning of another. Any easy suggestions?

Re: Overlapping tracks
Literally overlap, where portions of both tracks are heard at the same time?
Import the first track into Audacity. Import the second track and it should arrive in a second display underneath the first. Using the Time Shift Tool (left and right black arrows), push the bottom track to the right until its beginning is near the end of the first. Play it and if you left both tracks overlapping, they'll both play at once. you can use the fade out and fade in tools to gradually fade between the two, or just use it as a straight cut.
I edit radio shows without bothering with the fades. My works lend themselves to that.

Yes to your question.

I'll give it a try and let you know. I tried all sorts of other things. This sounds like it'll work.
Thanks.
