Hey guys, i been trying to learn a song from youtube, which was done on piano. And im struggling alot.
This song means to me so much however there are no sheets for it, and its not really popular.

So i started reading up how to make midi files and using them in synthesia, it all makes sense and ive seen people get great results from real mp3's with many instruments.

But i only have piano, shouldnt be that difficult, but its not working well for me at all.

Here is the song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUzAU_nBFys

If anyone could help me out with tips or tell me how to go about it id really appreciate it guys,
Like i said this song means so much to me, and i love to be able to learn it and play it.

Thanks in advance, really appreciate any help.

Audacity has no support for MIDI.

While Audacity probably can't directly help Yasick, a blanket statement like that isn't really true. Audacity (Beta) does import (but not play) MIDI and can do cut and paste edits on MIDI files, then export the edited MIDI file.

@Yasick, I tried a few MIDI search engines without success. Have you sent a message to the author of the video to see if he can provide the music? He must have learnt it somehow. If there is sheet music he could give you the name of the publisher.

Otherwise you could try recording the audio into Audacity:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recor ... e_computer

or search Google for how to download it which will give you better quality. If you add FFmpeg to your computer:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ: ... Ins#ffdown

you can then drag the downloaded audio file into Audacity.

Whether you record it or drag it in, export it as WAV 16-bit PCM, then try one of the following audio to MIDI "Converters":
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/w/index.ph ... from_audio

Don't expect a great result because audio to MIDI means trying to guess from the recording what the notes are, but you may get something.

Otherwise, why not simply download or record it as above then Effect > Change Speed in Audacity to make it slower? Maybe you could make it slow enough to learn it that way.

Hello Gale, thanks for your reply,
I msged the author but he said he is too busy, the music came from original One Million Miles Away by J Ralph,
author just did his own version of it, there for there arent any sheets for this.

I have a program called AmazingMIDI, which allows to import a .wav file and it will convert it to midi, but its really messy and inncorrect.

I will try those links, thank you i appreciate your help
