Cannot Copy and Paste

Hi--My first post--and I am not an audiophile. But I am enjoying using Audacity--however, tonight I have tried several times to Copy and Paste from one program to another, but nothing happens on the Paste part of the process. Isn't it CTRY C and the CTRL Y?????

Or is there a problem with the program today???

Now you need to fill in all the proper names. "I tried copying an m4a clip from iTunes non-DRM download and paste it into an Audacity 1.3.12 default timeline."

To put it another way - we're not sure exactly what you're trying to do so we can't tell you the best way to do it.

I figured out that I have been using CONTROL Y inslead of CONTROL V to do the PASTE part of the process----sorry for the Brain F---thanks for the reply
