Hello,
Can anyone help? I have recorded a podcast segment just voice and it is hollow. Is there a way to remove this? I used a Plantronics dual plug headset into the back of my computer. I am a newbie, I used Audicity last year but downloaded it today to start podcasting.
Thanks, Jazx

Re: Don't want a Hollow Podcast
Most people who post with problems have things plugged together wrong, but you seem to have hit it first time out.

That it?
Hollow sound.....
Check in Audacity Preferences and the Windows Control Panels and make sure you're recording the microphone connection and not Stereo-Mix, What-U-Hear, or one of the other Internet Audio settings. The settings needed to record internet audio are completely wrong for recording a live theatrical performance.
I have that headset and it can be made to sound very good. You must be doing something wrong.

These are the panels describing the settings to record internet audio. Make sure these are not set.

Another thing you can have wrong is Windows trying to help you set your voice quality. You don't want that, either.
