I have a Christian Podcast and been using audacity for the recording software. When I export to mp3 it plays fine, works good in itunes, and website flash player. I tried to burn the podcast to cd for my pastor to listen to it and the whole mp3 wouldn't show up just half. Like I said, it plays before in mp3 form just not when burning mp3 to cd. If I export it to acc it burns fine just mp3. How can I fix the problem?

You can have that problem if you try to burn a mono music file to a Stereo Music CD. I have a system that does that. Open the show up in Audacity. Edit > Duplicate > Left Side Drop Down Menus > Make stereo track. Then export in the regular way -- Microsoft WAV 16-bit.

You need to make a special point of burning a Music CD and not a Data CD. You can do this in iTunes and I think you can do it now in Windows Media Player. If you make a Data CD by accident, it will be seriously magic; playing in some players and not others. Music CDs play just about anywhere.

For making audio CDs it is highly recommended that you export as "44100 Hz 16 bit stereo WAV".
Other formats may be supported by the CD burning software, but this format is always supported. MP3 encoding always reduces the sound quality a bit.

The "sample rate" (44100 Hz) is set by the "Project Rate" setting in the lower left corner of the main Audacity screen. If this is not set to 44100, change it to 44100 before you Export.

I'd recommend using a standalone burning program like CDBurnerXP, Nero or Toast to burn the exported files. CDBurnerXP is free.
