Audacity Forum

I purchased a machine from Encore Technology which is supposed to transfer cassette tape music to my computer, but when I did this, the playback sound was terribly distorted. The software which came with the machine is Audacity, but I don't know which settings to use. Can anyone help?

I downloaded the latest Audacity 1.3 Beta version for Windows 7 and everything works great now. Thanks for your help
