Im using Audacity 1.3 beta, Windows 7. I am recording a "timed" recording of a radio show that is streamed over the internet. I time record because it is on too late at night. Here's the problem, first I log into the radio station web site, open the "live" broadcast window. I can hear the broadcast loud & clear over my PC speakers, I have checked it later before bed to make sure everything is ok and it always is. I then set the time record for 2 hours in audacity. The next day I go to play the recording back and it's been recorded but it is with what sounds like static. I have checked it while it is recording and it sounds good over the PC speakers. What is causing this static?
Re: Static
What happens if you do a "not-timed" recording of that radio station?
What happens if you do a "timed" recording that occurs during the daytime (while you are awake and can check what it's doing)?

I presume that the radio station sounds all right while you are recording?
