Online collaboration email sends

Hi there.

I have had audacity for a while and recently I want to collaborate with someone online.

I want to send someone an audacity project so they can open it and play with it just like I can on my computer.

They have audacity.

Does anyone have a step by step info on how to do this for someone who is fairly shit with computers?
I tried to compress the folder and the file itself together but this just wont send for some reason on an email.
