Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Recoding results in flat line, not recording

Post by Thomas Engelhardt » Sat Sep 03, 2011 7:09 am

I just down loaded the 1.3.13 version and am unable to record. My older version of Audacity works just find. I've been playing around with this issue but have made no headway whats so ever. The "input level" remains at zero. Oh well.

Thanks

Sorry I haven't responded but I've been using the older version of Audacity and doing find...or finder anyway. I get an input level making no other changes than switching to the older version.

I figured it out. I had to switch the Audio HOst from MME to Windows Direct.
