Exporting to Excel (if possible)

Post by TL33 » Thu Sep 01, 2011 7:24 am

Hi there!

I am in desperate need of help...Please help?

I would like to somehow obtain statistical data (Max, Min, Mean, STD, Kurt, Skew and RMS) regarding the recording I have, in the time domain. Is it possible to export the recording I have so that MS Excel will be able to interpret the data?

I also require some frequency domain data - this I obtained from using the Analyze/Plot Spectrum.

I don't know about excel, but most matlab-like applications will let you import WAV files and work on them from a mathematical point of view.

If you're not familiar with matlab and equivalent apps, the learning curve can be a bit slow in the beginning, but I believe it's a better tool for the job.

There some free alternatives to MatLab such as Octave, among others.
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).
