Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Whine on left channel

Post by Dick Hinke » Fri Aug 19, 2011 8:31 pm

We have the 1.3 Version of Audacity. Recording is only taking place on the bottom line. The top line is a steady blue line about 1/4 inch wide. We recorded a full song and burned it to a CD and had a continuous whine all the way through. Please help.

Topic split and renamed.
It's best to start a new question in a new topic rather than tagged onto the end of an old topic as it is less likely to be spotted on the end of someone else’s discussion.

Audacity 1.3.?? You've missed out the last number (look in "Help menu > About Audacity" for the full version number).

So it's recoding on the Right channel of a stereo track, but only recording a whine on the left channel?
What are you trying to record and with what? (for example, You are trying to record yourself talking using a Logitek AR13 USB microphone plugged into your HP laptop that has Windows 7 64-bit?)
