I am , almost, new user of Audacity and as I am trying to get more and more involved with it I am more interested with the new things that it could do.
I am using the 1.3.13 version with Windows 7. I am trying to split the tracks using the Silence Finder. I go to Edit > All, but when I open Analyze I don't find Silence finder, only Contract, Plot Spectrum, Find Clipping. I an-installed/installed again the 1.3.13 without changes. I would appreciate if some one could help me with it.
Thanks, Ruli.

Reinstalling Audacity doesn't reinstall Audacity (don't ask). To get a full reset you have to manage the preferences and config files.

It does sound like you have a damaged install.

Look in "Edit menu >Preferences > Effects" and ensure that "Nyquist" effects are enabled.

Steve, I did what you said and then.. I found the finder!!!
Thanks a lot for your prompt advice.
Koz, thanks also for your answer, fortunately I didn't need to mess with the Register.

Now I will enjoy a lot more to use Audacity.
Ruli.
