I am using Audacity 1.3.11 (BETA) version on my windows machine, I edited a song which was of around duration 5:41 minutes, however, when I try to export that file as a WAV file, the file do get exported, showing the same time duration i.e. 5:41 minutes, but when I play this audio, the sounds can be heard for approximately 3:25 minutes and from there onwards it just goes blank till 5:41 minutes....
Can anyone help??? I did reinstalled the audacity software too....still no luck......

Re: Problems whilst exporting
Audacity 1.3.11 is now obsolete, you should update to Audacity 1.3.13 (you can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ )
Do you still have the Audacity Project?
If so, does it play all the way through?
Do you have enough free hard drive space where you are exporting it to?

Reinstalling Audacity never cures anything.Ajinkyash wrote:I did reinstalled the audacity software too

Re: Problems whilst exporting
That's probably the clue to the problem.Ajinkyash wrote:when playing through any other audio player it gives me the problem mentioned.
First thing to check is that your "other audio player" will play other (known to be good) audio files all the way through (just to check that we're not looking in the totally wrong area).
Then, in the open Audacity project (Audacity 1.3.13), look near the bottom left corner for the "Project Rate" and ensure that it is set at 44100 Hz. If it isn't then change it.
Then check that no tracks are muted in the Audacity Project and "File menu > Export" (NOT "Export Selection") and Export the project as a WAV file (Microsoft PCM 16 bit).
When you export, ensure that it is to a place on your hard drive that you have permission to write to (for example "My Documents") and save the file with a new, unique file name.
Use only letters and number in the file name - no punctuation marks or other special characters.
The WAV file should play correctly (fingers crossed).
