System Not Recording My Voice!

Needed to send an audition this morning and for some strange reason the system will not record my voice. Everything is plugged in as always. The system records but won't pick up my voice. Our computer uses Windows.

We need to know a lot more info about your setup in order to be able to help you...
Which Audacity version? (check in the Help menu -> About)
Which Windows version?
What kind of mic? How do you connect it to the computer?
What does the system record? What's the source? What's the show? What are you trying to achieve?
Give as many details as possible. We can't guess what we don't know...

We could, but it would take longer. Each type of microphone has different problems. You need to give us a push.
I'm speaking into a Logitech Desktop USB microphone plugged into an Intel Mac Mini, OS-X 10.6.8 and I'm using Audacity 1.3.13 which I installed about twenty minutes ago.
What did you do?
