Hi

I use a behringer xenyx 1204 with a uca 200 with all the correct drivers installed and fiddled with every cable and knob I can think of, including re-installing drivers and fiddling with volume controls on my computer.

And still this problem persists.

I use a windows xp computer, just recently reset it to factory settings.

Thanks

Can you hear the buzz when you're listening to the headphone connection on the mixer?

The buzz never changes, right? It's a constant whine in back of everything -- even when you have all the faders on the mixer turned down?

You can set Audacity preferences to Playthrough (or software playthrough -- it changes) and restart Audacity. Then, when you click on the red recording meters, they will wake up and monitor your digital input and let you do troubleshooting in real time.

Are you going through a USB hub? Audio systems hate that. They hate USB extension cables, too.

Try a different USB connection if you have more than one.

We routinely recommend the UCA202 and I don't see very many complaints about it. There are pages of complaints about the UCA200.
