I have successfully added a cassette tape recording of my parents talking from 4 decades ago into my iTunes library and can play the recording on my Dell laptop (Windows Vista) in iTunes. However, when I burn the recording to a CD-R as an Audio CD (as opposed to a Data CD), and then attempt to play the newly burned CD on my CD player, nothing is heard and then the CD stops and the player shows an "err" message. I also tried converting my recording in iTunes to ACC format and then burning it, but the same thing happens.
Is it a given that:

IF this audacity recording will play on my laptop in iTunes, THEN it can be successfully burned to CD? or do I need to go back to the drawing board
Thank you!
