Hello,
I was editing my tape and suddenly It wasn't possible anymore to select a fragment of, for example 0,5 seconds. I can only select particular blox.
Let me explain: when I zoomed in and edit 11 sec. to 27 sec, I can only cut out the audio between two numbers. For example: Between 16 and 17 sec. I can only cut 1 sec out. Not 0,3 sec, not 0,7 sec. I can only cut 1 sec out of everything.
Does anyone know what I have to do?
Thanks.

Re: Selecting track
Turn off "Snap To" at the bottom left of the Audacity window.
Since the default is "off" and a lot of people seem to accidentally get it turned "on" instead we would be interested in hearing if you know how you got it to be turned "on" in thefirst place.
Thanks,
WC

Great! So can you tell us how you think you enabled Snap To accidentally? We want to find the best way to stop that happening but without inconveniencing people who want to turn it on and off regularly.wuzzle wrote:You really helped me out.

It was an accident. I saw it, but thought: 'I'll correct it later'. And then I forgot to.

Re: Selecting track
Interesting. Having a warning when enabling the box is one solution we considered, but it sounds as if a warning on quitting the program might be an alternative.wuzzle wrote:It was an accident. I saw it, but thought: 'I'll correct it later'. And then I forgot to.
