Hi Steve
have contacted Acer to see if they can sort the drivers out as the new PC is not listed. in the meantime i have gone back to the old fashioned way linking the deck to an amp and taking a lead form the head phone socket to the mic input at the back of the pc and that works fine. thanks for your efforts and i will let you know if i get sorted the USB way

I thought that the "old fashioned way" was to hold a microphone in front of the speaker of the radiogram
