Hi there

I am a brand new Audacity user so I apologise in advance if this is a dumb question. Ok so I am using the program for dressage (horse training) so need to change the BPM of my songs to suit my horse. There is an option to change BPM in Effects - Change Tempo which is great. However, the trouble I am having is that it doesn't tell me what the BPM is to start off with. Both the boxes are blank. I can change the lenght of the song?

Any help would be grately appreciated!
Thanks

Listen to the music with a watch or clock that has a second hand.
Count the number of beats in 15 seconds, then multiply by 4.
If you want a more accurate measure of the BPM, count the beats in a whole minute and that is the BPM.
