MIC is making static noise--PLEASE HELP!!!

As you can see in this picture, i monitored the mic without music or sound and the Left side of the Mic input level meter is fluctuating while the right isn't. i dont know if this could be a mic issue or cable issue but i know that my mic never used to do this. now it gets STATIC everytime i record. please help!!

You're going to have to write a lot more words. What are you trying to record and how is it connected and to what kind of computer?
If you have a stereo music mixer and try to plug it into the Mic-In of a Windows Laptop computer, that's exactly what you get. The left will overload and the right will be silent. Pink Mic-In on those computers is mono and very sensitive.
