How to make funny/cartoon voice?

Post by sonnik » Tue Jul 26, 2011 10:02 pm

Hi and hello,

I'm using Audycity for a while now for some things but I'm wondering if there is some filter to make my own voice sounds like something from cartoons?

I would be very happy if someone could help me.

Thank you,

sonnik

Try the "Change Speed" effect.
Record yourself talking very slowly, then use "Effect menu > Change Speed" to speed it up.

That is good idea, but what if I want to make the length of recording same or very similar like the original?

Because I want to use my 'modified' voice for one already made video and if I speed up I missing some seconds of recording at the end :-)

Thanks

That's why you have to do it in two steps. If 20% faster is appropriate pitch, then you need to speak slowly 20% longer to have everything come out right.

There is Change Pitch, but nobody likes the way that sounds.

Try the "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift" effect.
Set the Initial and final "Tempo" settings to zero and adjust the "Pitch" settings to get the cartoon voice.
