I just downloaded the Audacity Beta.... IT IS AMAZING!

But the problem with it is that I can't attach the sound to any of my video projects. I do a little animation and such, and I figured I could use Audacity for sound effects and such... I'm using Windows Movie Maker. Is there some way I can convert the sound to WAV or something else compatible?

Video sound specification (non-surround) is 48000, 16-bit, stereo. You can do all your production in that standard by changing the Audacity Preferences.

After you get done with production, Export a WAV file. That file should slide right into any video editor. Please note that Windows tends to go its own way on video and audio specifications with the Windows Media format, but it should work.

Converting an existing show is a little convoluted. Change the sample rate with the little window at the lower left of the editing window. Then select Other Uncompressed File Types at export and select Windows WAV at 16-bit.

If the show isn't in stereo, then you need to create two-track mono, but hopefully, you won't have to do that.
