Recording vinyl lp's at 45 to speed up copying process

Ive got about 400 vinyl to copy to cd which is taking a long time. Ive noticed I can use Audacity to change the speed of a vinyl between 33 and 45. If I were to play and record each vinyl at 45 then slow to 33, is this going to affect the quality at all? As in my understanding the sample rate is being reduced to slow playback speed, so would need to initially record at a higher sample rate like 96000 to compensate. The end result would then need converting to 44100 for cd compatibility. Could someone please confirm for me? If I want to retain as much quality as possible, am I best just to play each vinyl at its correct speed and record real time?
