I updated windows 7 the other day and now i cannot record using audacity with my AT 2020 plugged into my tascam 144.
I have used audacity for years with no problems and now it stopped working all together. Not registering any sound in audacity. I have not made any changes to audacity, or tascam.
tascam drivers and firmware are up to date. audacity is up to date. I am seeing signal input (green light) on the tascam when i speak into the mic. phantom power is on.
Any help as to why this has happened and how i can fix?
thanks

Re: audacity not working with tascam??
If this is still a problem please post screenshots of:
* Audacity Devices Preferences
* The "Recording tab" of "Sound" in the Windows Control Panel
* The "Advanced" Properties sheet for Tascam (right-click over Tascam > Properties in the "Recording" tab of "Sound")
I suggest you choose Tascam as the Recording Device in Audacity, Recording channels to stereo, Host to Windows Direct Sound, the Audacity Project Rate to a rate the Tascam supports, then put a check in both "Exclusive Mode" boxes in "Advanced" Properties as above. Choose the same sample rate in Tascam settings that you have in Audacity Project Rate.
I assume of course you have all levels turned up.
