i cannot get plug ins no matter what i do.

i am using the beta, i have tried to get plug ins, i have pasted them into my audacity plug in folder...couldnt find them. anywhere. i wanted an autotune, but couldnt get it, even though its in my folder unzipped and everything. please SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which version of Windows?
Which exact version of Audacity? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity")
Exactly which plug-in are you trying to install?
Where exactly did you put the plug-in? (full path)
Did you set Audacity to rescan for VSTs?
