saving mp3 files after normalise

Post by J Van Mol » Thu Jul 07, 2011 4:08 pm

After normalising my mp3 files to another volume most of the time the changes are not saved even after using the export function as suggested.;-)
I'm working with W Vista on my HP laptop.

Please make sure you are using the current 1.3.13 Beta (see Help > About Audacity to see the version you have now).

MP3 is lossy - small differences in volume may be evident in the exported file compared to the track in Audacity. We don't make any special adjustments to allow for this.

If you seeing large differences, try setting the +.,..- gain slider on the Track Control Panel (left of the waveform) to 0 dB.
