Headset with Google Voice

I have Audacity 1.3 on Windows 7.

I am looking to record phone conversations (yes everyone consents to it first) both ways. I use a Logitech Clearchat Comfort USB.

I have used Audacity for a few years for different recording and editing...usually basic things. I'm not super well versed with the program but can seem to function pretty well. I change the inputs to both the Logitech mic and headphones, I can hear myself great but can't hear the other person well when recording. Their voice shows up but when playing it back its very quiet. I've tried playing with settings but haven't gotten any luck. I did read on here where to use a plug from the headphones to the sound card (blue). I don't see where I have a sound card input. I have a headphone and mic jack, the headset uses usb. My machine is a lenove ideapad z565.

Lot of that going around. It's harder than you think.

How are you connecting the computer to the phone? Is there a real phone or are you trying to do this on a cellphone or Skype?

Through Gmail.

Googlevoice can be connected several different ways. I'm not talking about through my cell phone. I read the threads about Skype on here looking for my answer. I figured it would be the matter of Audacity hearing what came through my headset. It records what come through the mic.
