Can I use Audacity for direct live vocal performance

Hi I'm new to audacity and I was wondering if you can use the effects and so on as a tool for direct live performances than just a straight recording tool?

Audacity doesn't do anything in real time, except recording.

Any effects can only be applied after recording is finished.
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).
