Dear guys,
I wanted to do a little example:
I first had the previous version of this beta (I can not remember which, however, compatible with XP) and the acquisition of audio tracks from the web was a joke from you guys!
Now, unfortunately since I had changed the operating system to install the latest version of the program that is 1.3.12 beta!
I lost all the comfort as I can not set the program so that it can record from the WEB!
I must point out that the machine and consequently the sound card (integrated) is the first but before I could aim now NO .... why?
Please help me to solve the problem
Thanks in advance
Dodago ;-))))))))))

Support for recording sounds that are playing on the computer ( "Stereo Mix" ) is not available on many Windows 7 computers. This has nothing to do with Audacity, it is usually due to restrictions of the sound card drivers.
In some cases, recording Stereo Mix is not completely disabled but is just hidden. In such cases you need to "un-hide" the option.
See here for more information: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... trol_Panel

My wife recently purchased a new W7 laptop and like you she couldn't get it to record streaming audio, so based on previous recomendations from Kozikowski I got her to buy TotalRecorder (see: http://www.highcriteria.com/ cost is $17.95).

This works a treat, she records with TotalRecorder and then imports the audio file into Audacity for subsequent editing.
