i have managed to do something to my copy of audacity. When I attempt to select a portion of a waveform the vertical selection line jumps to the nearest second. IOW, I cannot select anything between seconds (1,2,3,etc). I would appreciate it if someone would tell me how to reset audacity so the selection vertical bar moves slowly and stops anywhere within the displayed waveform. Thank You.

This is a common problem but we are puzzled how so many users accidentally come to put a check in the Snap To checkbox.
