question about g-verb

A quick question about the operation of g-verb. Every time you need to make small adjustments with the reverb, do you need to click undo after you've applied the g-verb to a track? It seems when I go back to effects--gverb, there is an additive effect of the reverb. If this is so, why does this happen?

Effects in Audacity (including GVerb) are directly applied and change the audio data. If you decide that you want an effect, but not with the settings that you first used, "Undo" the effect (Ctrl+Z to undo) and re-apply with the new settings.
For applying GVerb, I generally prefer to use the "Duplicate and mix together" method (see here:
