Latency connection is zero

I have searched all the latency questions about the error zero... I have gone into preferences and made sure it was set to 100 and -130.. I made sure the snap to it was not on.. I changed the settings for the over dub.... I am about ready to pull my freaking hair out... please can anyone help??
It doesn't look like this posted so I am re-posting sorry if I duplicate

I've just read your post three times, and I'm still not sure what the actual problem is that you are having.

Are you are getting the message about all audio hidden behind zero ? If so then you are only recording a few milliseconds and the most likely reason is that you have enabled Sound Activated Recording by mistake and the recording input is below the threshold level at which recording is set to start. The "latency correction" message will appear when you stop the recording.

If this is the issue you can uncheck Sound Activated Recording either in the Recording Preferences (click OK to save the change) or in the Transport Menu.
