I've just downloaded Audacity, recorded an LP and then tried to split it into tracks. I have done this, but when I come to view the labels the times shown do not agree with the time on the tarcks. In fact each treacks is said to begin and end at the same time. Furthermore, when I try to Export Multiple, it doesn't work at all. Here's the recording. Has anyone any idea what I've done wrong?

Re: SPLITTING A LONG TRACK
The .aup file is not the entire project. It does not contain the audio.
See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Audacity_Projects
However, by opening the .aup file in a text editor I can see that the structure of your project is:
Stereo audio track
Label track with no labels
Stereo audio track
Label track with 5 labels.
To keep it simple, you should have one stereo audio track and underneath it one label track.
If each label starts and ends at the same time that means you have used "point labels".
See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Label_Tracks
And: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Export_Multiple
