Hey,

Up until recently, Iv'e been using an older version of Audacity and it's been working fine. However, I am now using Audacity 1.3 Beta and there's a problem. I record a track, or lay down a click track. Then, when I record the second track over this, while the 1st track (or click track) is playing back, the playback glitchs and slows, stops and starts from where it stops. the track on it's own plays back perfectly.. it's just when playing back and recording...
I'm using windows vista and the sound device is 'sigmatel high quality audio device'.

I never had this problem with the older version of Audacity...

Can anybody help me out???

Cheers,
Aaron

People usually mean "I never had this problem on Windows XP". Is that what you mean, or are you still using the same computer with the same Windows version?

Cheers :)

Thanks for clearing that up. ;)

I would expect that your computer will be fast enough to run Audacity 1.3.13, unless it is already struggling just to run Windows.
Have you changed any settings in the Audacity Preferences, or are they at the default settings?
