FFmpeg Library Not Found
Posted: Wed May 04, 2011 2:03 am
Hi All -
I am having persistent trouble getting Audacity to load the FFmpeg Library. I've looked through the existing threads and tried the following suggested solutions, albeit with no success.
- installing FFmpeg from the in-GUI link on the Preferences/Libraries page
- installing FFmpeg using the *.zip file as suggested by the Wiki
- deleting other av*.dll files existing due to duplicate instances of FFmpeg installed on my computer
- copying FFmpeg library files into the Modules folder
- uninstalling and reinstalling FFmpeg
- checked Audacity installation folder for other FFmpeg files (none found)
Despite the above, I'm still getting the frustrating FFmpeg libraries not found error message.
I am kind of at a loss at this point because I am not super tech savvy, and am unable to get to the point suggested by some previous posters of editing code and whatnot. Just looking for a relatively simple solution in order to be able to edit the *.m4a and *.amr voice recordings I make on my Ipod & Blackberry. I should also mention that I had no problem installing LAME.
Does anyone out there have any other suggestions or perhaps has found some resource about dealing with this problem that's escaped my attention? I've attached the error log if someone with more technical understanding wants to take a glance to better diagnose the issue.
Thanks,
jhwang
