I recorded a conversation on Audacity software. I saved the conversation and when I checked again, it worked perfectly.
Today was a different story. When I was trying to check the conversation again, it was coming without sound. I really can't
understand what is happening. The conversation is saved on my drive in a file with the name Audacity project file.

Can someone tell me how I can fix this problem? The conversation that I recorded is going to be used for an English lesson, so
it's very important issue. If someone can help me out it would be really appreciated.......

Thanks

Audacity projects are not audio files.

There are two parts to an Audacity Project. There is the "Audacity Project File", which has the file extension ".AUP", and there is the audio data that the project uses. When recording, the audio data is put into a folder that ends with "_data". Both the AUP file and the audio data are required and they must both exist in the same folder on your computer.

To create a normal "stand alone" audio file, you must "Export" from Audacity.

The recommended version of Audacity is Audacity 1.3.13. If you are using an older version it is highly recommended that you upgrade. You can get Audacity 1.3.13 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

I would also highly recommend that you read this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Audacity_Projects
