I am running audacity on Windows and I am a WSR - Wildlife Sound Recorder. I have been recording birdsong outside and I wish to remove man made (low frequency) noises like cars, planes etc from the birdsong (HIGH FREQUENCY). I have also been recording Bat Sonar on an Olympus LS-10 that records up to 44 kHz. I wish to see visually the bat sonar on a frequency spread versus time display that I have seen in the past but can not find out how to do so now.

I have als recorded some sounds by leaving the recorder running unattended. I wish to be able to see a volume versus time chart that enables me to see when there has been some noise that I can listen to as opposed to listening to the entire recording to see if I have recorded something wirthwhile.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Use a "High Pass Filter".

The audio track "Spectrum" view may be what you are looking for.
Click on the track name and select "Spectrum" from the drop down menu.

Note that drawing the spectrum is much slower than drawing the usual waveform.
