This is quite odd. After installing, when i go into file types and attempt to associate .wav files with the audacity executabe, it just "DOES NOT TAKE" Will NOT DO the association. NOR will the audacity program icon show up in the browse window for you to easily associate - unlike prior version! I can associate it with the UNINSTALL EXECUTABLE, but that obviously isn't what i want. What on EARTH is the problem here? Does the new version NOT ALLOW loading of a wave file by CLICKING on it?

Windows does not allow file association with two executables having the same name. Rename the Beta "audacity.exe" to "audacity_beta.exe" or similar. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/File_ ... #Open_with
