Podcast recording - Live insertion of small audio bits

Post by User45432 » Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:09 pm

Hello good people,

I'm using audacity to record a podcast. I record my voice, working good, but then I have to edit the file to insert some little audio segments, like jingles (don't know if this is the correct word).

Would there be a way to do this "live" ? I would like to map some keyboard shortcuts to play the few little audio bits. Is this possible ? Maybe with a plugin ?

Thank you

No, Audacity does not do "live".
What you can do though is to add markers, either during recording or during playback, to indicate where you want the jingles to go.
To add a marker (Audacity 1.3.12) :

1) During Play or Record, press Ctrl+M
2) (optional) type in any text that you want in the marker.
3) Press Return.
