Odd problem with recording audio...

I use a Guitar Hero microphone to record audio into Audacity, and for some strange reason it just stopped working with Audacity out of the blue. The microphone itself isn't broken, but no matter what I do it just won't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program to no avail as well. Even stranger is that every other microphone I have works perfectly with Audacity. If anyone has any solution to this, let me know.

Are they all USB microphones?
