Major Bug!!! Crashed on start after opening saved file....

Ok, so I completed an ENTIRE song, literally was just about done tweaking the levels, when I was trying to zoom out by pressing ctrl+mouse scroll up. I guess I went too far out and everything went blank. I could not get it back no matter which way I scrolled. I closed it out and of course it autosaved, and every time I try to open the aup file up, it crashes! All that work is lost! However, I still have all the data files but they are only like 5 seconds each and all split up! What kind of system is this??? Is there any way to fix this? If anyone wants to take a look at it, I have it here:
http://24.34.166.224/heysuzy/
The file is zipped up (184MB). If anyone can tell what is wrong I would be very appreciative.
Thanks!
J

I'll take a look but your server is slow and it will take an hour to download your zip.
Please make sure you are using the latest Audacity Beta 1.3.12:
http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/au ... 1.3.12.exe
When you exited Audacity did you click "yes" to "Save Changes" or did you force quit? Have you tried opening Audacity
without opening the .aup fiIe? That might give you an "Automatic Crash Recovery" dialogue on its own. If so, try recovering the project that way.

The selection, vertical and horizontal position and zoom level values were all corrupted so I replaced them with values that allow the project to open. Please open your project with the attached .aup file.
There are 6 files reported as "orphans" which means they are inside the Ian4_data folder but there is no reference to them in the .aup file. Here is the list
22:13:46: Warning: Orphaned blockfile: Ian4_datae00d00e0000734.au)
22:13:46: Warning: Orphaned blockfile: Ian4_datae00d00e000083c.au)
22:13:46: Warning: Orphaned blockfile: Ian4_datae00d00e0000a46.au)
22:13:46: Warning: Orphaned blockfile: Ian4_datae00d00e0000a7d.au)
22:13:46: Warning: Orphaned blockfile: Ian4_datae00d00e0000cd9.au)
22:13:46: Warning: Orphaned blockfile: Ian4_datae00d00e0000d70.au)
You will get a warning about them when you open the project. I would suggest you tell Audacity to "work around them" rather than delete them. If you find the project is OK, you could copy them to another folder outside the project to be safe and then delete them next time you open the project.
Be aware that I struggled to even play that project on my system. I assume the issue is the number of tracks. However if I were you I would select each track in turn and File > Export Selection as WAV, then import all those WAVs into a new project and save it to another name.
At the moment I can't reproduce how you got those nonsensical values in the .aup file by zooming out to maximum, but we'll keep the project to one side in case we can.

WOW! Thank you so much for the help!!! it worked however it it won't let me change the volume of individual tracks from the settings on the left of each track. I'm sure I can find some other way around it.

I'm not sure what you mean, but you have a lot or tracks. If you have the setting "Automatically fit tracks vertically zoomed" checked in the Tracks Preferences, drag a track down at the bottom and use the gain/pan sliders, the track height will snap back where it was as soon as you release the slider. It's a known bug. But you would have had that problem before.
If you are in any doubt, follow the instructions above to export each track as WAV and import the WAVs into a new project.
