Help..
I just started using Audacity to download voice recordings. I am having a really hard time with this program and beyond frustrated. I downloaded my data into Audacity and thought I saved the data. Initially, I got an error message that the data could not be saved because my hard drive was full (which is not the case because my computer is brand new. When I left Audacity, it asked if I wanted to save the data and I said yes. I went back in to retrieve it later and the only thing et is the grey bar across the top. There is no waveform at all.
The files I put on here on unretrievable and have been deleted from the original source. How can I get my data back??
Please help.

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Could not save project. Perhaps /boot/test
is not writable or the disk is full.
Where were you trying to save to?
Do you have write permissions for that location?
Normally on Windows you would save things to somewhere in "My Documents".
You know there's a difference between "Saving Projects" and "Exporting audio files"?willows4u wrote:I went back in to retrieve it later and the only thing et is the grey bar across the top.
