I have windows 7. I record voice, mono, everything all right. When I play it back, it comes more accelerated than the original recording speed. Then I try to set the speed value to 1,00, the toolbar accepts the new setting, I press the green play button on this toolbar, but the playback speed remains fast, although it shows the value 1,00. If I change to values to under normal speed, 0,80, or over, 1,20 and click the green arrow it complies and changes to the new setting. It only won't playback at normal speed. It started all right at the first trials, then suddenly it would not playback at normal speed anymore. I uninstalled the software and installed it again with a new download (left the converting file to MP3 untouched). But it still has the same problem. Can't find why. Can someone help me please. It is just the software I dreamed, and I can't make it work properly. Thank you. Gyorgy

I would expect a Transcription Toolbar playback speed of 1.00 to play at the same speed as normal playback, even if normal playback was not the correct speed.

Make sure you are using the same device for recording and playback (for example, not a USB device for recording and the built-in computer sound device for playback). Then adjust sample rates so you are using a rate intended for your device, and so that the rate set in Audacity, the sound device and/or Windows is the same. See:
