Hello,
I received a court MP3 audio file that had a key minute deleted from the recording that was given to us by the court.
Four individuals heard what was said and we know the point at which it was said and the court delivered MP3 file has had this section removed or deleted from the file.
Is there anyway that I can 1) Restore the deletion? or 2) Find visual eviedence that a deletion occurred?

You know how photographs can be manipulated in programs like PhotoShop. Sometimes it is really obvious that the picture has been messed with, but sometimes it can be done so well that even an expert will have difficulty saying with certainty if it has been edited or not.

The same is true with audio. Sometimes it is very easy to recognise where a recording has been edited, but sometimes it can be very difficult to tell, even for an expert.

If the audio has been deleted then there is no way you can get it back from that audio file. Even if you could, it would probably not be admissible as evidence in a court of law.
