Hi guys, first time poster here.
I'm wondering if there's a way (whether it's built into Audacity or in the form of a plug-in) to set a tempo for a project and have tracks snap to that tempo when you time shift them. We can do snap-to for the different selection specificities down at the bottom, but those are all based on seconds or samples.
My only workaround right now is to create and repeat short click tracks so that they form a bunch of snap points according to whatever tempo they are. This is a little grueling though. Tempo snap-points are pretty standard in most software, so I'm surprised I haven't found an intuitive way of doing it in Audacity.

Re: Snap to tempo
There is a feature request for "Snap to beats"
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests
If that would accomplish what you want I can add your vote.
(I agree that this would be a very useful feature)
