Crackling voice recording

I don't know why this is happening lately but every time I record now. There's some odd crackling noise throughout my voice. It's not that my audio is too loud or anything. However, it's not exactly a crackling either as to think the headset it broke, because this happens on and off. It almost makes my voice sound like it's being duplicated and played all together a split second apparent, mixed with just some with lapsing, broken, cracking effect. Any idea what I can do? It's happened a few times now and since I'm record almost 2 hour long podcast without knowing this is happening, I can't just re-record. I wish I could show you guys exactly what is happening.

Have you tried turning off "noise cancellation" in the sound card preferences?
