Re: recording problems
Sure, but you need to fill in all the holes between your lips and Audacity. Which microphone, how is it connected, which computer, which operating system, which Audacity?

Re: recording problems
Dear Kozikowski ! --Thank you very much, for your time to assist me here!! I really appreciate it.
I have a Logitech USB microphone, connected by USB;; I am using a Dell Intel Dimension 2400 computer, using Microsoft
XP, home edition software. Finally, it is Audacity 1.3 Beta software.
Perhaps I just do not have enough Ram, in this old boat! I checked the microphone twice!! It is working with it's own play-back test.
Thanks again! -Geoff

You should select the USB microphone in windows recording devices as the (default) device you want to record from ...Zealousman wrote: I have a Logitech USB microphone, connected by USB;; I am using a Dell Intel Dimension 2400 computer, using Microsoft XP

I was about to suggest that you disable the computer's in-built microphone in the windows mixer, but apparently the Dell Dimension 2400 doesn't have one.
