Hi there, just needed to register because I couldn't find an answer to my question. I have Windows 7, 64-bit Version installed on my laptop. The website said that the beta version should be compatible with Windows 7. I am not that computer savvy and most expressions here in this forum or on their website don't say anything to me so it's not easy to find out what to look for other than "doesn't work on Windows 7"...So please forgive me if the question has already been asked.
I downloaded the beta version and the programme opens fine but it doesn't record. I have chosen the correct sound devices under preferences. But it doesn't record my voice. In fact, the bar is not even moving when I press the record button. Sometimes it does move but only records weird noises. Also it stops recording after a few seconds. I just want to do normal voice recording - nothing fancy. My hubby has the some OS and it works fine on his PC.
I am just using a headset with a microphone - it's just a normal one, not a USB one. That's the only information I've got. Any idea what else I could try to make it work? Is there a miracle button I forgot to press??

Ensure that you do not have Skype running - not even in the background.
Right-click over the speaker icon in the System Tray > Recording Devices and you should see something similar to this:

Check that the microphone is visible, enabled and has the recording volume turned up.
